App for Chores

Roost is the app for chores that assigns recurring household work and rotates turns. You set the chores once. Each person sees their own list, and a tap marks a turn done.

You check off work on your own phone in under ten seconds. The app stays in sync across iPhone and Android, so your whole family can see all changes.

Schedule and rotate chores

Set your recurring chores once and assign the people who share them. Roost moves the turn to the next person after a completion settles at midnight.

Everyone can see what is due and whose turn it is. The schedule keeps moving, so you never have to rebuild the list by hand.

You can set daily, weekly, monthly, and one-time chores in the same place, along with custom dates and times. Recurring work stays on the calendar, and the next turn is already waiting.

Share across your household

Use Roost across every part of your home:

  • Kitchen cleanup and dish rotations
  • Bathroom cleaning schedules
  • Taking out trash and recycling
  • Weekly deep cleaning tasks
  • Mixed iPhone and Android households

Everyone sees the same live list on their own phone. When someone finishes a chore, the household list updates, and the next person is assigned.

Save and track completed tasks

Roost keeps a history of every finished task. You can see who completed each chore, when it was done, and what is coming up next.

Your household has a reliable record, so you do not need notes or a whiteboard, or a piece of paper on the fridge. You can check past activity anytime in the app.

See fairness across the household

The weekly breakdown shows how chores are distributed. You can see totals from work that has already settled and check that the load stays balanced over time.

Everyone can see the shared numbers from their own phone. You are looking at the same counts, not comparing memories.

Check off chores in one tap

Marking a chore complete takes one tap. You can check items off while walking through the kitchen, phone in one hand.

Completions settle at midnight and then the rotation advances. If you tap the wrong chore, you can undo it before that cutoff.
